Open Universiteit - E-Learning

( / 3)

The Dutch Open University had the specific request to develop a course inspired on the Human Information Processing course we did earlier. The new online course on Webculture had some prerequisites, amongst which the use of Moodle as a platform. So now we do Moodle integration as well.

We designed and developed a progress indication which augments the basic hierarchical navigation with progress information. Our design of the progress indicator enables students of the Webculture course to monitor their progress in the blink of an eye, because of the 5 levels of coloring and the menu-hierarchy.

We created several new blocks in Moodle, and used some existing functionality to augment the basic Moodle installation with new and (sometimes) exciting features. To name a few of these custom built blocks: media gallery, list of references, compulsory literature. We modified some existing functionality such as the Flexpage Page format and the Page Menu
